11-20 | Holiday Nights, Vista Lights

The 2014 Vista Lights is the perfect way to begin the holiday season! Tomorrow night join neighbors and friends at the 29th Vista Lights, Columbia’s annual event where the entire historic Vista community lights up!

The event runs from 5-9pm and includes a tree lighting, street performances and of course, the lighting of our neighborhood, the Vista.

Shop up an appetite, enjoy the lights and walk over to one of the many great Vista establishments for a nightcap. Stores, galleries and restaurants will be open for extended hours. Check out a list of local participants.

There’s no better time than now to get a jump start on your holiday shopping!

The entire Vista community will take part, with Gervais Street closed to traffic from Gadsden to Assembly streets, and Park and Lincoln closed from Lady to Senate, so don’t miss out on this celebrated event!

11-15 America Recycles Day

The average American generates 4.4 pounds of trash per day, adding to the grand total of about 251 million tons of trash the United States accumulates a year. Make a difference in the Columbia community this Saturday, Nov. 15 by participating in America Recycles Day.
