Plan a night out with friends and head over to the ballpark! The Columbia Fireflies home opener is just around the corner, as they take on the Greenville Drive Thursday, April 14 at the brand new Spirit Communication Park. First pitch will be thrown at 7:05 p.m. on Thirsty Thursday. Attendees can enjoy half-priced draft beer and fountain drinks and postgame fireworks.

3-11 | St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Columbia

On Saturday, March 19 grab a few of your CanalSide Lofts neighbors and head over to the eclectic Five Points District from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. for one of the Midlands’ largest annual street festivals and largest celebrations of St. Patrick’s Day in the Southeast.

The event kicks off with St. Pat’s Get to the Green 10K, 5K and 1-mile Family Fun Run, which offers runners free admission into the festival. A fun-filled parade, kid-friendly Pot O’ Gold Playland, swinging shag exhibition and DJ throw down, as well as five stages with live music hosting nearly 20 acts provide the entertainment for the event.              Located just five minutes away from our community, Cola’s Restaurant is a favorite of many CanalSide apartments residents. Formerly a RC Cola bottling plant, Cola’s is a “casual” fine dining bar/restaurant specializing in seafood, steaks and other culinary creations influenced by a broad range of ethnic cooking.

While the interior of the restored 1930s plant is enough to draw you in, the menu will keep you coming back time and time again. You can check out the dinner, desert and extensive wine, cocktail and beer menus online to get an idea of what they offer.
